Bolshaya Peremena (Big Change)

Big Change was founded in 2002 by a group of qualified teachers, all of whom wanted to help students who had graduated from the State orphanage system to reach their full educational & individual potential.
During this time, the project has helped over 350 young people gain entrance to colleges, universities and also find employment.
Students are initially assessed and are then placed on an Individual Development Programme appropriate to their needs. Experienced teachers provide top-up curriculum classes to enable students to prepare for the 9th & 11th level State exams.
Other available programmes aim to broaden the mind and include Culture & Travel, English Language club, Music & Theatre club as well as a Professional Orientation Programme, which assists students in choosing a profession or an internship, and provides guidance for adaptation to a working environment.
